Hello everyone. I am new to the site but I am floored and wanted to share my path to this forum. I have been a long time gamer (Atari 2600) and an avid Age of Empires person. I waited and waited for years for AOE to release again. AOE online was not bad but could not fix my itch for a good RTS game. I never looked at any Civ game, not sure why but it is what it is.
I then decided to try Civ 5 vanilla since it was on sale for $14. OH MY GOD. What a brilliant game. I cannot believe how much depth there is to this game. I tried Prince and got my butt handed to me and loved it. I then decided to look up some strategies (Thanks goodness for the Blame Rob Videos - Tutorial for new players) and I found this site. I have now purchased the game for my dad (62) and I just downloaded G&K.
I cannot believe how big this game is. I cannot believe how big and active this community is and I cannot believe I never found this sooner. I look forward to chatting with you all and learning more about this game.
