[BTS] Recommendations from Downloads section?

Hello. I have just registered here after a week or two of browsing and sniffing around the website. I have a big dilemma what Downloads section counts though.
I would start by saying that I have less interest in Ancient times and prefer anything from Medieval to Modern Era.
What are the best of the best scenarios, mods etc. for Civ4 Beyond the Sword which doesnt require 6GB of RAM and giant earth maps to be played well? Also, I only play on lower difficulties against AI's, so I am not really interested in the modifications focused on multiplayer gameplay, or those which are terribly balanced. I would love to play games which are based on real historical events with some freedom if possible. If its expansion of Byzantium Empire and creation of Vandal Kingdom in Dark Ages or suprisingly beating Third Reichs by Czechoslovakia armies it doesnt really matter to me.
Also, when I browsed through some modpacks, some of them included things I had no idea about and was pretty sure that I wouldnt use them much since I am in the beginning state of this game.
