Just a wish really. I wish there was a way to create a map start that was not an earth, but was earth-like in the way it laid out civs. So England would start on an island shallow-water-near a continent. Arabia would start in a desert. India would start in a hot region surrounded by mountains. China on the sea with a big plain. Polynesia on an archipeligo.
You get the idea. Each civ would start in a geographic area similar to on the real earth map, but the map would otherwise be random.
I started playing Polynesia recently, and to make it more fun, I made it an archipeligo map in a hot climate. Problem is that gives Polynesia an advantage for the WHOLE planet, you run into some civ whose UU is mounted and they are basically screwed on that map.
It would be nice if each civ started in an area that suited its.So polynesia could start on an archipeligo but without disavantaging the others.
