I am having a try at the 'into the renaissance' scenario, and it is odd to play this way after normally playing the main game.
Are there any good guidelines or rules of thumb for the scenario?
You start off with enough culture for 3 policies, so I put all of them into Patronage, figuring it would help to have good CS relations. Is that wise?
Also, you get 1 city and 2 settlers, but if you settle quickly the unhappiness hit is large. I tried waiting until my first luxes cam on line, which helped, but, I don't know if this is the right approach.
Also, it is odd having to start cities off at the higher level of tech - it seems to be awhile before i can get enough workers to do something useful.
So, what is a good approach - try to turtle up in one area and get some economy going?
Or just head out, build an army and try to puppet a whole bunch of other cities?
