Some of the World Wonders in the game just feel like they are really bad.
My main example of this is the Forbidden Palace, which some AIs love to build. It is terrible! 10% reduced unhappiness from citizens in non-occupied cities? With an empire between 3-8 cities, you'll have around -30 happiness from all cities at most. The wonder gives +3 happiness?!? And it costs 600 hammers.
For 500 hams you could get Notre Dame, which gives +10 happiness! Why is the Forbidden Palace so bad?
As for good wonders, my favorite when doing a warmonger game is the Brandenburg Gate. Combined with Barracks/Armory/Military Academy, it means units start with 60xp, enough for level 4! The moment you hit Flight you can start churning out Bombers with Air Repair, it's insane. The AI doesn't seem to value it much either, I can usually manage to snag it even on Immortal.
