[vanilla] My Workers can't remember what they are doing

For some reason my workers do not remember what order I gave them the previous turn. If I am building a farm, for instance, every turn I have to tell the worker to build a farm.

Also, I am not getting a suggestion as to what to build. That really does not bother me, I am hoping it will help figure out what is happening.

Earlier, I was in the option menu. so, I figure I probably did something there. I clicked on restore defaults, but I am still having the same difficulty.

Please help.
