Has somebody already put together a simple algorithm for determining the optimal mix of farms vs. trading posts for maximising research? (Or, for that matter, maximising some measure of utility that combines both research and income?)
If so, does the algorithm account for the presence/absence of civil society, free thought, secularism, civil service, and library?
Has somebody already put together an algorithm for determining the optimal "build order" - the order of assignment of scientists, merchants, farmers and traders? (To accomplish the desired end-state while maximising the integrated number of beakers / coins that can be potentially generated in the process of city growth).
I couldn't find anything like that in a preliminary search. I was thinking of doing something like this in the future, but I want to make sure I'm not re-inventing The Wheel.
