I'm facing a dilema right now.
I observed that in 100% of my games, there will be always a civ that will grow out of control, forcing you to deal with it sooner or later.
This topic pretty much explain what happened on one of my games:

Now I just finished one where USA grow huge, and since I observed that it happens all the time, I began to prepare my self to kick his ass. I won the game by a diplo victory(was aiming for science but...well diplo is just faster).
And it always the same crap. They get huge lands, huge army and begin to attack. Usually is easy to tell who will be this guy, just look who have more land and population.
Now I must ask:
How you guys are getting culture victory? 100% of times that I tried, there was always one or two civs that rushed ahead in culture and I could become influent if I enter a war, make their civs almost dead and wait a very looooooooooooong period of time for my tourism catch up.
Another question: I saw a guy telling that in imortal the AI fail in science by the mid game. I don't get it, how you guys manage to get a great advantage on the science over the AI? Most of the time when I get advantage the AI is just one or 2 techs from me and he catchs up with no problem.
