Ask a published author (III)

I felt like starting this thread :)

By now, although i am still in the periphery of letters, i have been published a decent amount of times in literary periodicals. A bit more than ten times in eight different ones in Greece, and two times in Greek magazines of the UK and Germany. Considering my journey in periodicals started roughly 20 months ago, that is a decent rate of success...

I also sort of won in a literary contest- well i was not in the first three main winners, but was in the five following winners. Considering what story i sent there, i am happy it did well, although i wished i had sent something better given that the three first winners got their book published by the house that organized the contest...

I guess that story of mine will be in some e-book released in the future, but i do not like e-books.

The work is going ok. I am pretty certain i am producing better quality writing now than before. Probably this was mostly due to the overall increase in my emotional health, which makes everything easier. The new stories are somewhat darker though, but a bit less focusing on a labyrinthine nature of things.

You can ask anything about writing or even getting published, but i should note that getting published is different in each country. Here the literary world is in major decadence, and the crisis has only made things worse.

Looking forward to any discussion :)
