If you could change the way a civ was portrayed...

Currently, I'm gathering ideas to overhaul my outdated New Beginnings mod (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfile...s/?id=79226244), which endeavours to change (certain) civs to appeal differently.

Personally, I don't like how certain civs have been portrayed in the game. Predominant amongst them is the Ottoman Empire, which was remarkably for its Religious, Cultural and Legal achievements, but none of which are portrayed. I'd like to hear some of your ideas on how you would have prefered civs to be portrayed and if you can offer ideas for my mod then all the better.

For instance, I felt like the Norwegian Ski Infantry was a bit of a poor attempt to shy away from the fact that the Danes are a styalised Viking civ. Therefore, I've decided to switch it out with a Longboat which can earn gold from kills, embarks on the ocean and can move after attacking. I also decided to switch out the Egyptian Burial Tomb with the Nilometer, which generates +1 Food on Flood Plains and costs only 1 Gold Maintenance (from 2) - although this may be OP considering the Burial Tomb only gave +2 Happiness and then a penalty to boot.

In addition, I'd like to hear some suggestions as to a civ which might suit beginning in a Golden Age. As well as some opinions on moving the Longbowman over to the Celts, in place of their unique building.

So if you could change the way a civ has been portrayed, how might you do it?
