Heh Heh, this is where I was Friday:
"I'm not even sure whether I'm winning! After a war with Hiawatha I'm quite a bit ahead on points, largely due to the mass of wonders in his capital; marginally behind Rome on tech, which is never a good sign; weighing up whether to attack Rome or hang fire and attack Washington (also quite strong and allegedly higher military stength); in short, in the awful position of being unclear what my victory strategy is (I was originally going for Science, now it might be Dom) - Aaarrrgghh!"
But I won! And with a Science victory. Some time after the above quote I was heading for runner-up spot (if I was lucky) until:
1. I gave Washington a fat lip and he gave me New York (and a good peace deal)
2. I found out that I was the only remaining Civ with access to Uranium. So I made some nasties, nuked a couple of Roman cities/fleets and he gave me an astounding peace deal (i.e. everything I've got, 'cos I think I can beat you to SV).
...and I won 5 turns later
