This isn't an ask an expert thread.
However, I noticed that a lot of topics touch on relationships and dating and whatnot but there's no dedicated thread for it. So here it is. There is a lot of good, solid advice when it comes to dating but there are no experts in my opinion. You will also have to take anything anyone says here about your particular situation with a huge grain of salt as chances are they don't know the complete situation and have never seen you and your bf/gf/prom date/crush interact and without at least that it's really hard to judge.
Crap.......I had a decent story to tell about a girl I used to be infatuated with and how it all related to my standard advice to all relationship questions, 'ask her out already'.
Ugh but I'm tired and the end point of the story was I tried, it didn't work and it sucked but now I don't care. I don't even care enough to finish typing the OP I originally intended (though hopefully I'll get back to it) because I'm just over it (finally!). If I had never tried, I guarantee I'd still think about it and in some ways agonize over what might have been......
So that's my 2am advice: Ask her out. You may regret it for a while if it doesn't work out, but you will always look back and regret it if you don't even try.
