Newb on starting research.

Hi everyone, sorry if this is a simple question, but I'd appreciate the help.

Is there a way to start a C2C game with no techs at all? Even on Prehistoric I usually start with a couple of techs and a bunch of buildings and units to create from them. I just like the idea of trying the new things with each discovery.
