Annoying diplo/trade pet tricks

Game going great, you ally with a bunch of friendly civs, join in with all of them in denouncing the dogpile AI du jour, usually some foo like Alex or Monty that easily get quick hatred from everyone, and then enjoy maximum trade deals with all your buds.

Fast forward a couple of millenia, and the dogpile AI is dead or neutralized, now your erstwhile allies, naturally needing someone else to bully with, start attacking each other. Even if you stay out of it and mind your own business peacefully, any allied civ that gets attacked by some of your other allied civs, suddenly qualifies you for negative diplo with the bullies, due to you still being allied to the victims of their selfish, aggressive warmongering.

Suddenly your trade deals go to crap, because you have "declared friendship with one of their enemies". Um, no I didn't, you friggin' idiots. YOU declared warmongership on one of my friends I was allied to just the same as you were, before you up and declared war on them for no good reason whatsoever.

The pisser in that, is that unless you never ever ally with anyone, you can't avoid getting negative diplo from some ALLIES who decide to attack your other allies. You just get an instant -diplo hit for still being friends with the allied civs that they inevitably attack without warning. I think this is wrong. You should not get negative diplo in that situation, unless you decide to again declare friendship with the ally they are attacking, after they attack them. /end rant
