Great Artist Ability Discussion/Speculation:

So now that the Great Artist has been broken down into 3 types, there are 2 more Great People abilities in the rotation (you know how like the GSs can pop a tech and how GEs can rush a wonder)

The Great Painter seems to have kept the Golden Age ability G&K.

The Great Musician's ability was greyed out in the demo. Maybe since Great Musicians's Work's are stuck in the happiness buildings (the theatre at least), their ability might give you bonus happiness for a while. This would help the wide empires keep their heads above water, and only help tall empires hit their next golden age just a little faster. And keeps in step with the Great Painter ability in that it only lasts a certain amount of turns.



The Great Writer could maybe do something with Science? I mean their Works get stuck in libraries right? Maybe all your cultural buildings could generate a a few beakers for a while? I think that also covers amphitheaters, where also get the Great Writer Works (can we just call them Great Books and Great Songs etc).

Of course all three get the ability to pop a Great Work too, but who cares that's old news.

I couldn't see any icons for the monument. Is it gone? Is it hiding? Is it the Great Writer's ability?
