Is there any sort of rule for where some features can go and where they can't?
I'm creating a map of Glorantha (Runequest).
I created my map (a continent) as plains to get the shape, planted in my rivers, mountains, etc. Everything's great.
However...now I'm trying to add features like marshes and jungles and they're (sometimes) not showing up in the worldbuilder screen. I'm trying to add jungles along a coastline, nothing. I was trying to add marshes around a river mouth and one hex DID turn into marshes, but the others won't at all. In the game world there's a salt marsh in the middle of desert, can't get marsh features to show in a desert, either.
I'm a little flummoxed, not sure what I'm doing wrong, would appreciate a link to a wiki that explains the rules for features or a shove in the right direction.
THANKS!
