on the starting space.
As I've played more and more, I'm actually starting to understand some things about the game.
I started a game on King as Denmark with a meager start. I was unable to do anything and I got crushed by the Babylonian army as soon as I founded a 2nd city.
I started a game as Washington on Empire level (my first empire game). I was going to quit because I didn't want to play Washington. I said to myself as the splash screen was setting up.. if I don't get a legendary start, I'm quitting. Ha ha... oh that starting position. 4 gems, marble, 3 stone, horses... cows... it was just sick and wrong. I think there was even iron when i discovered it. I haven't finished the game, but I was able to quickly dominate Spain and take a few more legendary cities... I have on on the coast with 3 fish, two stone, two iron and a couple salt on desert with Petra. It is just wrong.
Long story short, I became a run away early in the game. I played at a higher level, but didn't even flinch.
Maybe it's building armies... but in that Denmark game, I had nothing... just couldn't get rolling.
Maybe I should play more games with sparse resources so I can learn what struggle is. But having an amazing city while building just the right things is wonderful.
